Country code second-level domain

A "country code second-level domain" (ccSLD) is a type of website address that ends with a two-letter code. For example, the website for Canada is www.canada.ca and the two-letter code at the end is "ca." This code stands for the country in which the website is based - in this case, Canada! There are lots of other ccSLDs around the world: the website for France is www.france.fr and the website for Ireland is www.ireland.ie. By using the ccSLD, it helps to make it clear which country the website is connected to.
