Country house opera

Well kiddo, do you know what an opera is? It's kind of like a play or a musical where people sing instead of just talking. And a country house is a big fancy house that people in the countryside sometimes have.

So put those two things together and you get "country house opera"! It's when people put on opera performances in big fancy houses in the countryside.

Now, these aren't just any opera performances. They're usually very special and fancy ones that only a few people get to see. That's because the houses are usually pretty small and can't fit a lot of people. So only people who are really interested in opera and can afford it can go see them.

It's kind of like having a really cool party in your big fancy house, but instead of dancing, people are singing and performing on stage. And instead of just inviting anyone, you're only inviting people who really love opera and can appreciate it.

Does that make sense, little one?
