Court of Disputed Returns

Okay, imagine you and your friend are playing a game and you disagree on the rules. You say one thing and your friend says another. You both get mad and can't agree on how to play the game anymore. That's kind of like what happens when people disagree on who won an election.

When this happens, there is something called the court of disputed returns. It's like a group of grown-ups that are really good at figuring out who is right when people don't agree. They look at all the rules and the votes and try to decide who really should have won the election.

Just like when you play a game and need a grown-up to help you decide what the rules are, sometimes grown-ups need other grown-ups to help figure things out too. And that's where the court of disputed returns comes in!
