Cravat Regiment

A cravat regiment is a fancy way to describe a group of people who wear special pieces of cloth around their necks called cravats. Think of a cravat like a really fancy scarf that you would wear with your fanciest outfit.

In the olden days, men would wear cravats as a part of their uniforms in the army. They would wear different colored cravats to show which group they were in called a regiment. Think of a regiment like a club or a team that all wears a special color or symbol to show that they are part of that group.

Nowadays, people don't wear cravats in the army as much anymore, but some people still wear them as a fashion statement or as part of a special occasion outfit. If you were to see a group of people all wearing cravats, you could call them a cravat regiment to describe them all together.
