Credit card number

A credit card number is like a secret code that help people buy things online or in stores without having to carry cash around. It is a long string of numbers that are unique to each credit card and helps identify the bank that issued the card, the type of card it is, and your specific account number. Just like when people write their name on the top of the page when they do a drawing or write a letter, the credit card number is the name of the card and helps people make sure they are using the right card when they pay for something. When we use our credit card to buy something, we give the merchant our card number, and they send it to the bank for verification. If the bank approves, then the merchant receives payment and we get what we bought. It's important to keep our credit card number safe, just like our other important information, and only share it with trusted people or businesses.
