Criminal Reduction Utilising Statistical History

Criminal reduction using statistical history is a tool that law enforcement use to help stop crime. It uses statistics (numbers) to help figure out where crime might happen and who might be likely to commit that crime. For example, if cops know that there is normally a lot of shoplifting in a certain part of town, they might patrol that area more often to try to catch people trying to steal. Or, if they know that a certain group of people is more likely to commit a certain type of crime, they might do things to try to help those people to stay away from crime, such as providing programs to help people find jobs or to get education. By using statistical history, law enforcement can try to make the world safer for everyone.
