Criminal record check

A criminal record check is like when you want to check someone's report card, but instead of seeing how they did in school, we look at something called a criminal record. A criminal record tells us if someone has been in trouble with the police or broke the rules in a big way.

For example, if someone stole something from a store or hurt someone on purpose, that would show up on their criminal record. This record helps people know if someone is safe to work with or be around.

When someone asks for a criminal record check, they are basically asking the government to look at that person's report card for bad behavior. They do this to make sure who they are working with or who they let into certain places are trustworthy and won't hurt anyone or do anything bad.

Then, if the person has a clean record, it means they haven't had any big trouble with the police. If they have something on their record, it doesn't always mean they are bad people, but it does mean they may have made some bad choices in the past.
