Imagine you have a group of friends who all have different jobs. One friend works at a library, one friend works at a store, and another friend works at a bank. Even though they all have different jobs, they can still share information with each other to help solve problems or answer questions.
Now imagine that instead of just three friends, there are lots of friends who work all around the world in different jobs related to keeping people safe. These friends work for things like the police, the military, or spy agencies. They all want to make sure that they know what's happening in the world that might affect people's safety.
But it can be hard for these friends to talk to each other because they are in different countries or work for different organizations. So, they created something called the cross channel intelligence community. This is just a fancy way of saying that they all work together to share information and solve problems even if they work for different groups.
This community is really important because it means that everyone can work together to try and keep people safe. Just like how your friends can help each other even if they have different jobs, these friends can help each other even if they work for different organizations.
