ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Crown of justification

Okay kiddo, imagine you have a toy car that's really dirty and messy. Your mom tells you that you need to clean the car before you can play with it again. So, you go outside and start washing the car with soap and water until it's clean and shiny again.

Now, let's say the toy car represents your life and how you behave. Sometimes we do things that are not good or right, like telling a lie, being mean to someone or not following the rules. This makes us messy and dirty on the inside, just like the toy car.

But, just like washing the toy car, we also have to clean ourselves up when we do something wrong. This process is called 'justification' and it means that we are made right with God because of Jesus. Jesus did this by dying on the cross for our sins, or the bad things we've done, and by rising from the dead.

When we believe in Jesus and ask Him to forgive us of our sins, we are given a 'crown of justification'. This is like a special reward that says we are now clean and made right with God. It's like being given a gold star for doing something good.

It doesn't mean that we won't mess up again, but it means that God forgives us when we do and helps us to make better choices in the future. So, just like cleaning the toy car, we need Jesus to clean us up and make us right with God, and when we believe in Him, we get a special reward - the 'crown of justification'.
