ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

x86-64

x86-64 is a type of processor architecture. It is a variation of the x86 processor architecture that is used in most computers. The 'x86' part of the name comes from the fact that the processor is based on a set of instructions (known as "instructions" or "code") from the original Intel 8086 processor from the 1970s. The '64' part of the name comes from the fact that the processor can handle 64-bit instructions instead of 32-bit instructions. This means that the processor can store and process twice as much information in the same amount of time compared to 32-bit instructions. This makes the computer faster and more efficient.
