A goldsmith is somebody who makes jewelry and other things out of gold. They melt down gold and then shape it into different kinds of objects, like rings, necklaces, earrings, and other kinds of decorations. It takes a lot of skill and practice to be a goldsmith. Goldsmiths can also repair jewelry and use their tools to make small changes to pieces, such as sizing a ring that was too big.
