Crunode

A crunode is an imaginary point where two curves meet and change direction. It’s kind of like when you’re playing with a toy car and you have two tracks that come together at a certain point, then the car has to turn to follow the new track.

In math, curves are like lines that bend and twist, but they don’t have to be straight like a line. So when we talk about a crunode, we mean where two curves meet and change direction in a certain way.

Basically, imagine drawing two squiggly lines on a piece of paper that eventually come together at a point, and then continue in different directions afterwards. That point where they join is a crunode! It’s an important idea in math and helps us understand how curves can intersect in different ways.
