ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Cryonics

Cryonics is the process of freezing a dead body or just the head in a very cold temperature so that it can be preserved and maybe alive one day in the future when technology has advanced enough to revive the body and bring it back to life. It's the same kind of process that is used to freeze food like ice cream in your freezer at home. The difference with cryonics is that the temperature of the freezer is much, much colder than the normal freezer you have at home. The biggest hope for cryonics is that someday there will be a way for people to be revived and brought back to life after they have been frozen like this.
