ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Cryptographic agility

Cryptographic agility means that you are able to quickly and easily change the technology used to encrypt and secure information. It is like having a strong box with a special lock – if one lock doesn't work, you can quickly switch to another one without having to start over or rebuild things. Imagine if you had to cut a brand new lock every time you wanted to open the box – that would waste a lot of time. With cryptographic agility, you can switch between encryption technologies quickly and easily.
