Curse tablet

My dear little one, have you ever heard of a curse? It's like when you say some really bad words to someone because you're really angry with them. But do you know what a curse tablet is?

A curse tablet is a little piece of metal or a small tablet made of clay. Long ago, when people had problems with someone or something that was bothering them, they would take a small tablet or a piece of metal and write their problems on it. They would write down the name of the person or thing that is making them angry and the bad things they want to happen to them.

After writing down everything they wanted, they would dig a small hole in the ground and bury the tablet or piece of metal. They believed that burying the tablet would make the bad things happen to the person or thing they wrote about. It was like asking the gods to carry out their revenge for them.

Some curse tablets are really old and have been found by archaeologists, who study them to learn about the people who made them and what they believed in. Some of these tablets are even in museums, where anyone can go and see them!

So you see, a curse tablet is like a special message that some people used long ago when they wanted someone or something to get what they deserved. But it's not a nice way to handle problems, so it's better to talk to people and work out disagreements instead of using such tablets!
