Cut-up technique

The cut-up technique is one way to make art. It's a bit like a jigsaw puzzle. To do it, start by tearing up pieces of paper. Then pick your favorite colors, like blue and red. Decide how big you want your pieces to be. The pieces don't have to be the same size. Once you have your pieces torn up, put them together on a big piece of paper or a canvas. You can move the pieces around until you like the way it looks. When you like what you see, you can glue the pieces down. That's the cut-up technique. When you're finished your artwork should look like a big collage.
