Cyber defamation law

Cyber defamation law means that if someone makes false statements about you or someone else online, they could be taken to court. This could include lies or bad rumors. Even if the person doesn’t name the person being talked about, if enough people can figure out who the statement is about it can still be counted as cyber defamation. People can also be sued if they post something online that is mean or embarrassing about someone else without their permission. Cyber defamation can give someone a bad reputation and can even ruin their life. So because of this, law makers created a law that makes it illegal to spread lies or rumors about someone online. If someone gets caught doing this, they can be sued and forced to pay money as punishment.
