ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Cyclic number

A cyclic number is a special kind of number that has a unique property. Imagine you have a number, let's say 142857. Now, if you multiply this number by any number between 1 and 6, you will get a new number that is just a rearrangement of the original number's digits.

For example, if we multiply 142857 by 2, we get 285714. If we multiply it by 3, we get 428571, and so on. This property continues up to six times. After that, the digits start repeating in the same pattern as before.

So, a cyclic number is a number that, when multiplied by a range of numbers, generates a sequence of numbers that are just a rearrangement of its digits. It is a special type of number that has a repeating pattern that is unique to it.
