Dadaglobe

Dadaglobe was a pretend art project that was started a long time ago in 1920 by a group of people who wanted to create something really interesting and different. They were called the dadaists and they liked to do strange things like put a bicycle wheel on a stool and say it was art.

The idea behind Dadaglobe was that the dadaists would ask other artists from all over the world to send them their art. Then they would put all the art together in a big book that they would call a "catalogue". It would be like a really big scrapbook with all sorts of different pictures, drawings, poems, and even sculptures.

The dadaists thought that the catalogue would be really interesting because it would have all sorts of weird and wonderful art from all different cultures and styles. They also thought that it would be a way for lots of different artists to work together and share ideas, which was pretty important to them.

Unfortunately, Dadaglobe never actually got made because the dadaists had some problems finding enough artists to contribute to the project. Also, some of the artists who did contribute didn't really understand what the dadaists were trying to do and sent in art that was too traditional or boring.

Even though Dadaglobe never got made, it's still an important part of art history because it shows how artists were starting to think about collaborations and how they could include lots of different cultures and ideas in one project. Plus, it's a fun word to say!
