Dagwood sandwich

Okay kiddo, do you know what a sandwich is? Yes? Great! A Dagwood sandwich is basically like a sandwich but it's really, really big! It's named after a cartoon character named Dagwood who always made humongous sandwiches in the comics.

So imagine taking lots of different things you like to put in a regular sandwich, like lettuce, tomato, meat, cheese, pickles, and mayo, and piling them on top of each other to make a really tall sandwich. That's a Dagwood sandwich!

Some people even like to add crazy things to it like fruit, eggs, or even spaghetti. But you have to cut the sandwich into smaller pieces to be able to eat it. It can be really messy to eat too, especially if all the ingredients start sliding around.

But it's fun to make and eat because you can basically put anything you want in it! So next time you make a sandwich, maybe you can try making a mini Dagwood sandwich of your own. Yum!
