ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Danglish

Danglish is when people mix up words from two different languages, Danish and English. It can happen when someone is not completely comfortable with one of the languages, so they use words from both to try and communicate their ideas. It's kind of like if you were playing a game and mixed up the rules from two different games! Sometimes danglish can cause confusion, but it can also be really funny and creative. For example, instead of saying "Hello" in Danish, someone might say "Hej llo" which combines the words "Hej" and "Hello". Overall, danglish is a way for people to communicate in their own unique way, using the words they feel most comfortable with!
