Daniel 6

Ok kiddo, so there was a man named Daniel who was very smart and loyal to God. He had an important job working for a king, but some of the other important people didn't like him because they were jealous.

They tried to find something bad about him, but couldn't because he was such a good person. So they came up with a mean plan: they convinced the king to make a law that nobody could pray to any god except for the king for 30 days.

Daniel loved God and prayed to him three times a day, so he knew he couldn't follow this law. But he also knew that he couldn't stop praying to God.

So when the other important people saw him praying, they ran to tell the king. The king didn't want to punish Daniel, but he couldn't break the law he had made either. So he sent Daniel to spend the night in a den of lions.

Luckily, God was looking out for Daniel and protected him from the lions. When the king saw that Daniel was still alive the next day, he realized that God must be a very powerful deity and decided to make a new law that said people could pray to any god they wanted to.

So Daniel was safe and the other important people were caught being mean and trying to hurt him. The end.
