Dark store

Ok kiddo, do you know what a grocery store is? It's a place we go to buy food and things we need for our daily life, like milk, bread, and fruits. Now, a dark store is also a kind of store but it's a little different.

You see, some big companies like Amazon or Walmart, they have a special kind of store where people don't go in and shop like they do in a regular grocery store. Instead, the store is closed to the public, and only the workers go in and pick things off the shelves to pack and send them to the customers who ordered them online. They use a lot of machines and robots to help them do it faster.

So why do we call it a dark store? Well, because when you walk past one, you won't see any people or shopping carts inside, just a big building with no windows and maybe some trucks parked outside. It's like a secret place where all the magic happens to get your groceries delivered to your doorstep!
