Data consistency

Data consistency means that all of the data is the same. If the same thing is written in different places, the data should be exactly the same. For example, if your name is spelled one way in one place and another way in another place, that would be an example of data inconsistency and could cause confusion. Having data consistency means having all of the information in the same form and that it's correct.
