David Schmidtz

David Schmidtz is an American professor and author. He teaches political philosophy and his specialty is social justice and the environment. He has written or co-written several books and is one of the founders of the broad field of "environmental ethics". His work focuses on the idea that we have a responsibility to protect nature and the environment, and to ensure that everyone gets a fair chance to live a good life. He believes that governments should create public policies that reduce poverty and create a fairer society.
