Daylight basement

A daylight basement is like a special room underneath a house that has windows or doors that let in lots of sunshine so it doesn't feel dark and gloomy. It's called a daylight basement because during the day you don't need to turn on the lights because the sunshine makes it bright enough to see. It's a cool place to hang out because it's usually cooler than the rest of the house and it can be a great place for playing or watching movies. Sometimes people even make a special bedroom or apartment down there for guests or family members to stay.
