De-identification

De-identification means removing or changing information in your data so that people can't be easily identified. For example, if you had a list of names, you could change them all to something like "Person 1," "Person 2," and so on, so that no one could tell which name was yours. You could also take out any information (like addresses or phone numbers) that could be used to figure out who someone is. It's a way to keep your data private and protect people's identities.
