Debris

Debris is stuff that's left over after something gets broken or destroyed. Imagine if you took a toy car and smashed it into a bunch of little pieces. The broken pieces of the car would be debris.

Sometimes debris can be really big, like a tree that fell over during a storm, or it can be really small, like little bits of plastic that break off of a toy.

Debris can be a problem because it can get in the way and make things messy. For example, if there's a lot of debris on a road, it can be dangerous for cars to drive on because they might crash. Or if there's debris in a river, it can block the water flow and cause flooding.

That's why it's important for people to clean up debris when they see it and dispose of it properly. That way, we can keep our environment safe and tidy for everyone to enjoy.
