Debtor

A debtor is a person or a company that owes money to someone else. Imagine if you borrowed some toys from your friend, but you forgot to give them back. Your friend becomes a debtor because they owe you those toys. Grownups can also borrow money, like if your mom or dad goes to the bank to borrow money to buy a house or a car. They become a debtor to the bank because they have to pay back that money plus some extra. A debtor is someone who has to pay back what they borrowed, just like how you have to give back your friend's toys.
