Decodable text is like a special kind of book that helps you learn how to read. It has words and sentences that are carefully chosen to match the sounds and letters that you already know. That means you can sound out the words and figure out what they mean all by yourself!

It's kind of like putting a puzzle together. You start with the letters that you know and use them to build words. Then you can read the words to make sentences. And eventually, you can read the whole book all on your own!
