Decoloniality

Well kiddo, decoloniality is a big word that means we want to change the way things have been done for a very long time. You know how some people think it's okay to treat other people badly just because of the color of their skin or the country they're from? That's called colonization. It happened a long time ago when some powerful countries went to other parts of the world and took over the land, the resources, and the people living there.

So, decoloniality is about undoing the harm that was caused by colonization. It's about recognizing that everyone, no matter where they come from, deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. It's about understanding that the way we have been taught to think about the world has been influenced by the people who colonized other countries.

To do decoloniality, we need to learn about other cultures and ways of doing things. We need to listen to people who have been affected by colonization and understand their experiences. We need to challenge the ideas that have been passed down to us and think critically about the world around us.

Decoloniality is about creating a better world where everyone is equal and everyone's culture is respected. It's not always easy, but it's important work.
