Ded Moroz

Ded Moroz is a character from Russian fairy tales. He is like Father Christmas or Santa Claus. Ded Moroz (Дед Мороз in Russian) is an old man with a long white beard and a long red fur coat. He brings presents to people on New Year's Eve and other special occasions. He usually carries a magical staff and is helped by his granddaughter, Snegurochka. Ded Moroz lives in an enchanted palace in the Russian countryside.
