Defence Forces

Defence forces are groups of people who are trained to protect their country from harm. They make sure that their country is safe from bad people who might want to hurt it.

Think of it like playing cops and robbers with your friends. You have some friends who pretend to be the cops and others who pretend to be the robbers. Just like the cops in the game, defence forces are responsible for keeping their country safe from bad people.

Defence forces have many different branches or parts, just like your body has different parts. For example, the army is like your legs and feet – it helps to move and defend the country. The navy is like your arms and hands – it helps to protect the country from the sea. The air force is like your eyes and ears – it helps to spy on bad people from the sky.

The people in defence forces are called soldiers, sailors or airmen. They have special training and skills to help them do their job. For example, some soldiers are trained to shoot and fight in wars. Others are trained to fix machines like tanks or planes.

Defence forces work very hard to make sure that their country is safe. Sometimes they have to go to other countries to help other people who are in trouble. But no matter what they do, they always try to keep their country and people safe.
