ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

DelFly

A delfly is a tiny robot that looks like a little insect, just like a ladybug or dragonfly. It has small wings that can flap – just like a real insect. Scientists made these robots so they could study how insects fly and move around.

Just like how you move your arms up and down to swim in a pool, these robot insects move their wings up and down to fly. They have tiny motors that make them move their wings and fly around.

These robots are very important because scientists can learn from them about how real insects fly, and how to make more advanced robots that can fly in the future. Maybe you could invent your own robot insect one day!
