Delay-tolerant networking

Delay-tolerant networking is a type of computer network that is able to keep working even if parts of it are not connected to each other at all times. In other words, if some parts are not able to get messages to each other right away or at all, the network is still able to keep working. Delay-tolerant networking is useful in areas where there might not always be a reliable internet connection, like in a remote area or on a satellite orbiting in space!
