ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Delivery (commerce)

Imagine you want to buy a toy from a store but you can't go to that store because it's very far away from where you live. Don't worry! The store can send the toy to your home. This is called delivery.

Delivery means that someone takes the thing you bought from a store and brings it to your home or a place you tell them to bring it. You can order things online, like toys or clothes or books, and they will be delivered to your home. You can also order food and drinks to be delivered to your home when you don't want to cook or don't have time to go to a restaurant.

Usually, when you order something for delivery, you have to pay some extra money for it. This is because the people who deliver it have to use their own time and gas to bring it to you. When you order something for delivery, you have to give them your home address and tell them when you want it to be delivered.

Delivery can be really helpful when you can't go to the store yourself or when you don't have time to pick up the things you buy. It's like having a personal shopper who brings things right to your home!
