Derail

A derail is a thing that helps trains stay on the tracks. If a train is going too fast around a turn or has something wrong with it that makes it not able to drive straight, the derail will make it go off the tracks onto a special track made just for it. That way, the train doesn't crash into anything or hurt anyone. It's like a safety net for trains!
