Desegregation busing in the United States is when kids from different skin colors were put on buses and sent to school together. This happened because before, people with different skin colors were not allowed to go to the same school. This was bad because it was not fair to all the kids, and they did not get the same opportunities to learn. So, the buses were used to mix up kids from different neighborhoods so that they could all go to school together and get the same education.
