ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Deseret Nationalism

Deseret nationalism is like when you and all your friends and family live in one big house and you all agree to follow the same rules and take care of your house together. Except instead of house, it's a big area of land and instead of just friends and family, it's a whole bunch of people who live there.

Deseret nationalism is about people who live in an area in the western part of North America that used to be called Utah. They have a strong belief in their culture and history and want to work together to make their area better. They believe that they should have control over their own land and government instead of following the rules of a larger country.

It's like when you want to do things your own way and be in charge of your own toys instead of sharing them with your siblings or friends. Deseret nationalism is that same feeling, but for a whole group of people who live in the same place. They want to have their own rules and government that are based on their beliefs and values, and they want to take care of their land and resources in their own way.
