Have you ever seen the letters of the alphabet? They are the ones we use to make words and write down things on paper or on the computer. Well, a long time ago, some people in a place called Utah wanted to make their own alphabet that was different from the one that everyone else was using. So, they made something called the Deseret Alphabet!
The Deseret Alphabet had 38 letters, which is more than the 26 letters in the regular alphabet. Each letter looked different and had its own sound. For example, the letter "A" in the regular alphabet looks like this: A. But in the Deseret Alphabet, it looks like this: 𐐈. See how different they are?
Some people thought the Deseret Alphabet was a good idea because it helped them write down their language better. But eventually, people stopped using it because it was too different and it was hard to teach to new people.
So, now we still use the regular alphabet with 26 letters, but sometimes we can learn about different alphabets like the Deseret Alphabet for fun!
