ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Design By Numbers (programming language)

Design by Numbers is a special kind of computer language that helps people create art on the computer. It works kind of like coloring in a coloring book, except instead of a crayon or a marker, you use special instructions to tell the computer what to do.

These instructions are like little rules that tell the computer how to draw pictures and shapes. For example, you might tell the computer to draw a square, and then tell it how big you want the square to be and what color you want it to be.

Now, because Design by Numbers is all about art, you can also tell the computer to draw pictures that move around or change over time, like a video. It's kind of like making your own little movie, but instead of using a camera, you're using a computer and some special instructions.

The best part is, you can make all sorts of really cool artistic things with Design by Numbers, and it's all up to your imagination! You just have to learn the special instructions and how to use them, and then you can create whatever you want!
