So, a long, long time ago in the year 1913, there were some people living in a place called Thrace. These people were called Bulgarians because they came from Bulgaria. They spoke Bulgarian language and had their own culture and traditions.
Sadly, there were some mean people who didn't like the Bulgarians. These mean people were from another country called Greece. They wanted to take over the land where the Bulgarians were living. So they started a war, and the Bulgarians fought back with all their might.
But, unfortunately, the Bulgarians were not able to win the war. The mean people from Greece were too strong for them. So the Bulgarians had to leave their homes and go to other places where they could be safe.
This was a very sad time for the Bulgarian people. Many of them lost their families, homes, and everything they had. It was a terrible thing to happen, and it is called the destruction of the Thracian Bulgarians in 1913.
Today, people remember this event so that they can learn from the past and make sure that nothing like this ever happens again.
