ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Device-to-device

Device-to-device (D2D) is a way for two devices like phones, computers, or tablets to communicate with each other directly. This means that, instead of the data travelling from one device to the internet and then being sent to the other device, it travels directly from one device to the other. This makes it faster, easier, and more secure.
