ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Diet and heart disease

Ah, hello little one! It's important for us to take care of our heart which pumps blood all around our body. One way to do that is by making sure we eat healthy food that doesn't hurt our heart. When we eat lots of fatty and oily foods like burgers, fries, and sugary drinks, it can cause a buildup of icky stuff called cholesterol in our arteries. Think of it like little toys blocking a pipe. When our heart can't pump blood well, it can lead to heart disease which is bad for us.

So, what should we eat instead? We should eat lots of fruits, vegetables and whole grains like brown rice, quinoa and wholewheat bread. Eating foods like chicken, fish and beans instead of fried foods can also help us be healthier. It's important to drink lots of water too! Our heart will be happy and we'll feel great too!
