Diffusion (anthropology)

Diffusion in anthropology is the process by which something (ideas, technology, language, behavior, etc.) spreads from one place or group of people to another. It's like throwing a rock into a pond and watching the ripples go outwards; the ripples in the pond are like ideas spreading from one person, place or group to the next.
