ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Digital inclusion

Digital inclusion means that everyone—no matter their age, race, gender, or income—has access to the internet and the technology they need to learn, create and share new ideas. This access affects everything from an individual’s job prospects to their ability to connect with family and friends, access healthcare-related information, and participate in government activities.

When people don’t have access to the internet and the technology, it’s called digital exclusion. It’s like being in the dark and not being able to do the things other people can do.
