Dime novel

Dime novels are books that are usually less than 100 pages long and cost only a dime (10 cents) to buy. They usually have exciting stories about brave heroes or strong women doing daring things and making exciting discoveries. They are usually written in a simple, easy to read language, with short chapters so they can be read quickly. They were popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and were one of the first types of novels that people could afford to buy and read.
