Direct colonial rule

Direct colonial rule is when a country from a different part of the world controls and rules another country. In this system the people living in the ruled country must obey the laws and rules put in place by the people from the ruling country. It is like having a boss at your job that is far away, but you still have to listen to them and do what they want you to do.
