Direct market

Okay, imagine you have a lemonade stand and you want to sell your lemonade to people. There are two ways you can sell it:

1) You can wait for people to come to you, like if they are walking by your stand and see it, or if their parents bring them to your stand. This is called waiting for customers.

2) You can go to where the people are and sell your lemonade directly to them. You could walk around your neighborhood with your lemonade and ask people if they want to buy it. This is called direct marketing.

Direct marketing means you are going straight to the people who might want to buy your product, instead of waiting for them to come to you. In the adult world, direct market is when a company tries to sell their product directly to customers, instead of relying on stores or other companies to sell it for them. They might do this by sending out flyers or coupons, making phone calls, or hosting events where people can try the product.

So just like you might try to sell your lemonade directly to people in your neighborhood, companies might try to sell their products directly to people who might be interested in buying them.
