epicurianism

Epicurianism is a philosophy based on the idea that pleasure is one of the most important things in life. It was created by a famous Greek philosopher called Epicurus. Epicurus believed that the way for people to find the most joy and happiness in life was to practice self-control, focus on living in the present moment, and avoiding stress by accepting the inevitability of death. He also believed that material possessions and fame were not necessary to be happy, and that true contentment could be found in relationships and simplicity. In other words, Epicurus encouraged people to enjoy life as much as they could and make time to appreciate the small things every day.
